APR 28 Aix Cézanne Studio and Wine Paul Cézanne, whom some call the ‘father’ of modern art. Cézanne built the studio, set peacefully amongst the hills outside the city, in 1901 and worked there until his death in 1906, creating his masterpiece ‘Les Grandes Baigneuses’ and many of his scenes of the Montagne Ste Victoire. The studio was a haven of peace for the artist, and today you still feel his presence there, with many of the objects he painted lying around as they did in his time.
We will visit his studio and stop for wine at a local vineyard.
